CDI (Central Discovery Index) Guide

CDI: The Basics

What is the CDI?

The CDI, or "Central Discovery Index" is made up of over 5 billion records of many different resource types, but most often it is used to provide more granular access to content (for example, articles and book chapters).

CDI records are maintained by Ex Libris and cannot be directly updated by institutions or by FLVC. However, it is sometimes possible to correct broken CDI links by updating a journal level link or editing a collection's parameters or settings. Please report CDI linking issues to FLVC - we will investigate and open a case with Ex Libris if needed.
